(4) When you have decent equipment (orange items in most slots, on most characters, or if you have the lichbone trinket), just do full book (3 tomes 2 grimoires) nightmare runs on long maps. 3 tomes and 1 grimoire will be almost guaranteed orange. (3) If you can handle long map nightmare runs and want a more reliable way to farm orange items, do any long map with some books. People estimate the chance to get an orange is about 1/6. (2) If you want to farm orange items but don't have good enough equipment to do long map nightmare runs, farm Man the Ramparts on nightmare again. Even white handguns can one-shot stormvermins on nightmare. Just take handgun and snipe all the stormvermins. ![]() (1) If you have mostly green weapons from easy and normal runs and want to farm blue items, Man the Ramparts on nightmare is best. I'd better left Red weapons alone or give them 4 purely suboptimal taits like example I made before and focused on something more interesting that actually will make the game better.Originally posted by VernonKun:Long answer: Trait percentage would create disparity between bonuses and weapons (+zoom\accuracy << +chance to heal\attack speed). Rolling traits on Red weapons strip half of their uniqueness.Ĥth trait will kinda make hard for people to understand that Red weapons are not nececary. New traits is better to be universal if they actually would make game interesting. You should not be using Red weapons to have the advantage, you should be using them to show off.Ĭhanging this is fine, I think, but it would be hard to actually make game better just by making Red items better. Red weapons was created purely to make people play Cata more to get the "cool looking items" without making 99% players salty because they would feel that they need them to perform better. My point is NOT to make red weapons owerpowered. why should I use shield and axe, if I could equip one with devastaing blow/ bloodlust/ improved pommel (heroic killing blow in last stand instead of blood lust) why should I use red boltstaff, if I could equip one with bloodlust/hail of doom/10% less overcharge (bloodlust/hail of doom/ stamina replenish in case of last stand) Red weapons are hard to get, accordingly there should me a small advantage in my humble opinion.ĩ9% percent of my weapons are result of the shrine of solace. Just for pure irony of it.ĭon't get me wrong, I don't demand OP red weapons. Like: Swift slaying (W), Swift slaying (S), Endurance, Safety in numbers. ![]() P.S.: I would like to see 4th trait on the red weapons BUT I would like to see NON OPTIMAL (or really Baaad) combinations of those traits. Wouldn't it be better to create another type of weapons like "Cursed" that give you impactfull tradeoffs? They are rare items to collect.Īnd there are MORE negative outcomes if you make them best choice or custumizable (to be a best choice after fiddling with it). Red weapons was implimented as NON MANDATORY and NON OPTIMAL weapons. Because it's hard to decide if your statement is positive or negative.Įither way this Idea of "LETS CHANGE RED ITEMS BCAUSE THEY ARE NOT OPTIMAL CHOICE" is stupid.
